David Krumholtz was paired up alongside a host of “Playboy Club” bunnies last fall on NBC, but this coming fall season, the former “Numb3rs” star has just one gorgeous lady in his TV life – Sophia Bush — in “Partners.”

“My girlfriend is played by the amazing Sophia Bush, one of the hotter women in the world,” he told Access Hollywood at the CBS Upfronts in New York City earlier in the week.

“And she flaunts it,” David, who plays Joe on “Partners,” joked. “She holds it over me, as she should, and I kind of bow to her. I’m kind of a little frightened and intimidated to work with [her].”

And when Access suggested it’s not bad to have to kiss and cuddle Sophia, who plays Ali, Joe’s fiancee on the show, David agreed.

“Not bad to kiss and make out with, yes,” he laughed. “I’m married, so that’s all I’m gonna say.”

But while Sophia is Joe’s fiancee, it’s “Ugly Betty’s” Michael Urie, who plays Louis, Joe’s partner on the show, which was inspired by the friendship and working relationship of David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, who created “Will & Grace.”

“Partners” actually finds David and Michael playing business partners in the architect world, and it takes a look at their strong friendship. “It’s a mega bromance. It’s an ultra bromance,” David said. But Michael’s Louis isn’t without love in “Partners.”

His boyfriend on the show – Wyatt – is being played by former “Superman Returns” star Brandon Routh. “My partner is Brandon Routh… The very, very homely Brandon Routh plays Wyatt, the vegan nurse,” Michael said, joking about Brandon’s looks that are anything but homely. “My character doesn’t like that he’s a nurse. He hopes that he’ll eventually be promoted to doctor… and he also doesn’t drink, so it’s a very funny dynamic between them.”

“Partners” will air Mondays at 8:30 PM this fall on CBS.

Sorry, Sherlock, but we’re all about Watson these days!

Lucy Liu is set to take on the iconic role of Watson in CBS’ new Sherlock Holmes update Elementary, which also stars Jonny Lee Miller as Sherlock. Plus, the network is also One Tree Hill star Sophia Bush’s new home—they picked up her sitcom with Ugly Betty’s Michael Urie, Partners.

Sophia Bush rocks a pair of leather pants with a bright green clutch at Chateau Marmont on Thursday (April 26) in West Hollywood, Calif.

The 29-year-old actress recently chatted with OK! about life after One Tree Hill.

“It’s been interesting. I miss seeing our camera operators and our wardrobe department and the grips everyday, but I missed being home so much! It’s so wonderful to be there,” Sophia shared.

“And I thought I was going to have all this down time … and I’ve never been busier in my life!” she added. “I haven’t had the down time I’m looking for yet, but I feel great, I feel incredibly fulfilled, I’m happier than I’ve ever been!”

‘One Tree Hill’: Sophia Bush, Bethany Joy Lenz, James Lafferty, and castmates make their next career moves
Tonight we say goodbye to “One Tree Hill” after nine years on the air, but the cast and crew said goodbye in mid-November when picture wrapped on the 187th episode in Wilmington, NC. Now, over four months later, creator Mark Schwahn and the cast we’ve come to think of as friends have moved on to new projects.

We realize that emotions are still raw right now, but when you’re ready — here’s where you can find those familiar faces.

Mark Schwahn: Schwahn is currently back in North Carolina overseeing production on his pilot, “Shelter,” which is a contender for The CW’s Fall 2012 schedule. The pilot, which he’s executive producing with J.J. Abrams, will certainly appeal to “One Tree Hill” fans — it’s an old-school WB feel, an undeniable earnestness, and the same themes of hope and friendship that we saw on OTH.

 Sophia Bush: Bush recently wrapped production on “Partners,” a sitcom pilot being developed for CBS. Bush plays jewelry designer Ali, the soon-to-be-fiancee of an architect (Dave Krumholtz) who is caught up in an intense, codependent relationship with his gay best friend (Michael Urie). Additionally, Bush continues her tireless charity work promoting civil rights, humanitarian issues, environmental awareness, and female empowerment with organizations like Pencils of Promise, Global Green, and I AM THAT GIRL — amongst others. She may also enter a life of wardrobe-related crime: “Everyone says to me, ‘Wow, you must get to keep all the clothes!’ And I’m like, ‘Are you kidding me?’ They take that stuff from us and archive them,” she tells us. “One of these days, I’m going to show up to Warner Brothers in a cat suit and break in and steal all my stuff.”

As “One Tree Hill” closes out its final season, one of The CW series’ greatest on-set romances has also come to an end. Us Weekly reports that Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols have broken up.

The duo started dating six years ago, after Sophia’s marriage to another “OTH” cast member, Chad Michael Murray, ended. Sophia also briefly dated co-star James Lafferty. (We assume all the on-set courting has something to do with the hotness of her co-stars and the possible lack of Hollywood-type bachelors in North Carolina, where the show used to shoot.)

Sources say Sophia decided to break it off with her on-screen hubby “because she didn’t think he was the one. She’s moving on.”

As one door closes another one opens (at least professionally). Sophia has already booked a role on the new CBS pilot, “Partners.” The show comes courtesy of the folks who brought you “Will and Grace.” It will follow two male best friends (one’s gay and the other dates Sophia’s character). From the sounds of it, it seems like its CBS’ latest effort to cater to a younger audience and would likely be a nice sister show to “2 Broke Girls.”
